A 2007 graduate of the Fashion Design Studio at the Sydney Institute of Technology - whose alumni include Akira Isogawa and Zimmermann, Dion Lee wow'd the fashion industry with his edgey pieces at Australian Fashion Week last year. I was completely smitten by what I saw, here are some favourites (this collection was inspired by the work of US sculptural artist John Chamberlain):
With his debut collection being likened to Parisian fashion strongholds Balmain and Balenciaga, Dion Lee's designs show a strong tailored aesthetic. I am truly excited to see what he produces for the 10/11 colletions!
