In light of recent events in Japan, just thought I'd share an email I received from my friend in Tokyo. I'm happy that I was able to get through to her to find out she's safe and that she took the time amongst the chaos to send me this email from her phone. My thoughts and prayers go out to all those in Japan.

I'm off today because nearby stations are all closed...
People around Tokyo have to use few trains and very crowded. It seems very dangerous.
Aftershocks are still lasting and I feel fearful sometimes.
Here will be stop water and electricity for shortage at fix time. At many stores, household goods and foods are sold out.
I think the situation became more serious...
I'm just praying for safety of the people. I think I have to do things I just can do and don't forget to smile.
I just wanted tell you the situation in Japan. If I received any news, will let you know.
