Heels. Sky high ones. Those were the types of shoes I used to wear on a daily basis. 4" heels seemed normal and I never really had much of an issue walking or even breaking into a slight jog in them. Whether its the lengthening of the leg or the tightening of the calf muscles that create sexy, lean leg look, I sometimes wonder - are they worth the pain, icky callous-y bits on the foot and potential future visits to the podiatrist? No sure. These days I feel fine wearing a cute pair of ballet flats with any outfit, but obviously there are some occasions that just "need" a pair of heels to match.
What's worse is that I've witnessed several incidents of women nearly toppling over as their stiletto heel gets caught in the cracks of pavements. Its that slow-mo action as she's waving her arms in the air to prevent the fall, I'm thinking "o o o h noooooo". After that I almost always find myself thinking, "poor heels, the shoes could now be ruined cos of that crack in the sidewalk, they won't be the same again"...
